Reignwood Hamilton at Scotts: A Redecoration Project

If you’re not planning a full-scale renovation, redecorating is a great alternative. It’s all about refreshing your home’s look and feel: whether that means adding a pop of colour to your walls, updating your furniture, or introducing new textures and decor elements. We recently came across a project where the goal was to have the entire apartment styled and move-in ready, showcasing a modern luxe aesthetic. From furniture and lighting to textiles and accents, each element was carefully selected by our designers, Matty & Uchi, to make the space elegant and welcoming.

Let’s go through some of the changes our designers did.

ENTRYWAY

They added a shoe cabinet along with a mirror that features a distinctive and eye-catching design. The mirror’s stylish pattern serves as an interesting focal point in the room, while the gold accents bring a touch of elegance. Together, these additions not only enhance the functionality of the space but also elevate its overall aesthetic, creating a balanced blend of practicality and refined style.

LIVING ROOM

In the living room, the textiles set a cosy atmosphere. The leather couch was replaced with a large cotton L-shaped sofa that is better proportioned to the room’s size, paired with an expansive rug that enhances the softness of the look. In the middle, a dark-coloured coffee table introduces contrast while acting as an anchor. The previous blinds have been replaced with flowing curtains, adding a sense of height and even more softness. What used to be a blank wall is now adorned with a wispy abstract design, featuring colours that echo the hues found throughout the room.

BALCONY

There are countless ways to elevate an outdoor space. For the balcony, the design aimed to evoke a resort-like ambiance through wicker furniture, soothing colours, and layered textures. A canopy bed adds a touch of luxury and intimacy while the patio sofa encourages relaxed group gatherings, transforming the balcony into more than just a functional extension of the home—it becomes a carefully curated retreat where proportion, materiality, and comfort harmonize seamlessly.

KITCHEN & DINING AREA

This kitchen went through minimal refinement by changing the pendant light for a more slick and modern look. The designers added small decor items and a potted plant to bring a touch of warmth and liveliness to the space. Subtle changes like these helped refresh the kitchen’s overall aesthetic without altering its core design.

We have a beautiful setup on the dining table that includes pink and blue teacups to add a pop of colour. The wallpaper, with its soft brushstroke pattern, ties the look together with a gentle and artistic touch. All these elements, grounded by a beautiful marble dining table set with black dining chairs.

MASTER BEDROOM

This room was designed with a teenage girl in mind, requires careful balance as it can be challenging to create a space that feels both luxurious and appropriate for a teenager. Soft, flowing fabric drapes from the ceiling, complemented by subtle fairy lights that create a dreamy atmosphere. A low-profile bed keeps the space open and modern, while a small, understated sofa provides a quiet spot to relax. The study table is neatly arranged to encourage focus and productivity. All elements, including the ceiling fabric, fairy lights, and carefully chosen furnishings, were designed to create a sophisticated and timeless space that successfully blends luxury with youthful charm.

Redecorating is an opportunity to reflect your personality, refresh your surroundings, and create spaces that reflect a change in your style and preferences. Even small changes can transform  the mood and function of your home, turning familiar rooms into fresh, inspiring spaces that invite comfort, creativity, and joy.
