Interior Designer’s Thoughts

Being an avid fan of Japanese design, the homeowner wanted to replicate a Muji-inspired style into her home interior. One of the key highlights in the design brief was to have ample storage space while keeping a clean aesthetic, cladded with a light wood tone as the foundation. Embracing the art of minimalism and practicality, the communal space and master bedroom is designed in such a way to provide storage solutions and fully maximise every inch of the space.  Examples include wood joinery of the bay window seats, dining bench and the platform bed that is integrated with a full length wardrobe. Minimal decor pieces are artfully situated, emphasising on a minimalistic approach. Honouring the Japanese philosophy of simplicity, every element of this interior design seeks to exhibit functionality and blissful serenity.
