Brimming with character and personality, this cosy dwelling brilliantly captures the essence of the Industrial interior design style with contemporary touches. A medley of exposed brick feature walls and fluted wood panels marries marvellously with a neutral base palette, forming a stunning backdrop. Natural light peeks through the venetian blinds, emanating a warm and cosy atmosphere in the living room. Impeccably paired with a grungy edge, Terrazzo and monochrome Peranakan tiles in the kitchen area injects playfulness to the space. Parallel to the island counter, a recessed wall niche is reconfigured into open shelves and a concealed storage space hidden behind a coffee menu wall art — stealing the spotlight as the centrepiece of this stylish abode. Taking on a modern twist, sleek lighting is present throughout different parts of the home for a chic finish. Designated multi-purpose rooms showcase each of their own individual interests and lifestyle, highlighting functionality and consistent Industrial elements. Geometric feature wall in the master bedroom creates a focal point, jazzing up the otherwise minimal nature of the bedroom with a pop of texture and detailing.
The homeowners requested for an Industrial home interior with some modern elements to match with their existing furnishings. They were also coffee enthusiasts and wanted to have their very own coffee pantry near the kitchen area. The key point in their design brief was having a dark colour scheme against the original neutral base colour of their home interior. To achieve this, the interior designer suggested adding unique textures to let it stand out even further. His and Hers home offices are made possible by converting the original common bedrooms into recreational/work spaces. Storage was a top priority for the homeowners. Plenty of built-ins were included, from the full-height cabinets in the home office to the end-to-end wardrobe space in the master bedroom.
