Interior Designer’s Thoughts

The homeowner requested for a Japandi design theme with more emphasis on the Japanese elements. The main design consists of ample storage space specifically for their living room, hence, full height cabinetry was built for a clean and seamless appearance. The open-concept kitchen allows sunlight to enter and makes it less restrictive. A play on lighting creates a cosy ambience to the communal area and entrance. With a clean and neutral colour palette, the decor pieces were kept minimal for cohesiveness. Soft textiles and stone grey furnishings were selected as it complements the light wood tones. Marble-grained backsplash of the kitchen creates a timeless appeal in harmony with the white countertop and wood laminate.
