Rooted in sophistication and functionality, this 4-room HDB resale home delivers Modern Luxury through sleek details, warm tones and intentional spatial design. A harmonious palette of wood finishes, marble-grained tiles and accent feature walls sets the tone for a space that feels both elegant and inviting. Bold tinted mirrors are introduced as statement pieces within the communal areas and bathrooms, elevating visual depth while reflecting light to enhance the sense of openness. At the heart of the home lies a thoughtfully planned communal zone where form meets function.
Custom carpentry plays a pivotal role, concealing clutter while accommodating a Murphy bed, two integrated work desks and generous storage solutions. These multifunctional built-ins allow the space to adapt effortlessly to daily living without compromising on aesthetics. A glass sliding door further enhances flexibility, offering privacy when required while maintaining visual continuity and light flow across the home. The ambience stays cosy through the day and settles into tranquil warmth at night. Polished yet comforting — a home designed for refined everyday living.
This project involved the extensive renovation of an existing resale unit, where the homeowners sought to refresh the majority of the home with a modern luxury aesthetic while optimising the space for multi-purpose use. To achieve this, one of the walls of the common bedrooms was hacked to enlarge the living area, allowing sufficient space to integrate a Murphy bed and a dedicated work station. The second common bedroom was intentionally left untouched to preserve flexibility for future use. A consistent design theme was applied throughout the communal areas; characterised by warm wood tones, contemporary fixtures, and subtle textural contrasts to create an environment that is both inviting and cosy.
Given the compact size of the unit, the interior designer proposed extensive built-in carpentry to enhance functionality while maintaining a clean and cohesive look. The kitchen continues the same design palette, featuring sleek carpentry lines and understated textured surfaces for visual interest. In the master bedroom, works were kept minimal to preserve a light and restful atmosphere. The scope included a custom vanity area and display storage designed to blend seamlessly with the overall interior of the bedroom. The original flooring was retained, introducing warmth and grounding the space against the predominantly white backdrop.
