The open layout allows light and air to move freely, giving the home a bright, easy flow. Wood vinyl flooring connects the living and dining areas seamlessly, while parquet in the bedrooms introduces a cozy, tactile contrast that makes the private spaces feel extra inviting.
Lighting is layered and understated. A simple pendant light defines the dining area, while LED strips tucked into cabinetry give a soft, ambient glow. Pockets of greenery bring life into the clean-lined space, giving the home a lived-in, welcoming feel.
Wood fluted panels introduce texture at the entrance and TV wall. They’re not just pretty: these panels cleverly hide practical features, from the household shelter to extra storage behind the TV wall, keeping the home tidy and effortlessly functional.
It’s the kind of home that feels good to come back to at the end of the day — calm, grounded, and quietly full of life.
Interior Designer’s Thoughts
The homeowners wanted a minimalist home that still felt practical and welcoming — a space where everything has its place and daily life flows effortlessly.
Storage was a big priority, so the living room’s TV feature wall was set 80cm out, creating a hidden nook behind a fluted panel for extra storage.
In the kitchen, everyday appliances, like the microwave, slide out from pull-out shelves in the cabinet beside the peninsula. A pocket door keeps them easily accessible without interrupting the clean lines of the space. Full-height fluted panels at the entrance and living room hide storage too, blending function with form so the home stays uncluttered.
Even the finishing touches were chosen with care. Large-format bathroom tiles reduce grout lines for a smooth look, while recessed handles keep cabinetry surfaces sleek. The result is a home that’s not only calm and minimal but genuinely easy to live in.
