Designed for a family of four, this 4-bedroom condo reflects the homeowners’ Indian heritage through rich wooden materials, intricate details and earthy tones. Framed by views of lush greenery, the interior embraces a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors, allowing natural light and nature to soften the atmosphere throughout the home. Traditional influences are woven into the interiors while modern simplicity keeps the space feeling refined and contemporary.
The living and dining areas were designed to feel open yet intimate. Pendant lights anchor the dining area, while a line of cove lighting washes the TV feature wall in a warm, diffused glow. A statement swing anchors the communal area coupled with layered textures that introduce warmth and cosiness. At the heart of the home, patterned tiles and warm wood cabinetry bring character to the space while the semi-open layout maintains both openness and practicality for daily living. Arched carpentry details continue throughout the home and create a strong visual language that ties the spaces together seamlessly.
The bedrooms carry a more restful mood with soft fabrics and botanical wall features, in line with the design theme. From the dreamy children’s rooms to the calming master bedroom, each area was thoughtfully designed to support the family’s lifestyle while preserving the warmth of each space. The home ultimately becomes more than just a modern interpretation of Indian design — it is a timeless and meaningful sanctuary that reflects the family’s identity, memories, and way of living.
For this 4-bedroom condo, the goal was to create a home that reflects a blend of modern and traditional elements that is highly functional for everyday living. Custom carpentry plays a major role throughout the home, featuring arched profiles and rattan finishes. At the living room, a refurbished pillar and a traditional swing from India were integrated into the space, creating a harmonious dialogue between heritage and modern living. We focused heavily on layering textures and materials to give the space richness without overwhelming it.
The living room was also carefully planned around the homeowners’ sound system requirements, ensuring the placement of the TV and speakers worked seamlessly with the overall design. We reconfigured the layout to expand the living area and converted the original open kitchen into a semi-open concept with a glass sliding partition. This created a better balance between openness and practicality for family living. This allows the kitchen to be closed off when needed, while still remaining visually connected to the rest of the home.
In the master bedroom, we lightened the original flooring and introduced leather and rattan elements to create a softer, more restful atmosphere. Overall, the home is a thoughtful balance of tradition and modernity — a contemporary interpretation of Indian design that feels warm, timeless and deeply personal.
