Interior Designer’s Thoughts
The homeowner requested for a contemporary home interior with a modern twist. The couple emphasised on having a clutter-free space that also caters for their pet dog. To achieve this, the interior designer suggested building a dog shower station at the service yard to maximise the space. The patterned tiles give visual interest while allowing it to separate itself from the rest of the area. The kitchen island is integrated with a built-in stove top to maximise the space in a seamless manner. To cater adequate space for a home office, the area is demarcated with the bi-fold glass door to allow flexibility to open or close whenever needed. The cabinets and display shelves serve as a way to showcase the owner’s figurines. On the other side, an altar is integrated into the overall design. The common bedroom and master bedroom is combined to allow more space for a walk-in wardrobe and dressing area. The entrance to the master bedroom has an archway to soften up the space. With the use of mainly three colours for their base, it gives off a modern and timeless appeal.
