Scandinavian-Minimalist Interior

Both scandinavian and minimalist interior design centres around simplicity and utility where less is more. White dominates the interior of the home while subtle touches of woody accents adds a layer of warmth to the interior. Noticed that the door does not have knobs or hinges? Frameless pivot doors complete the minimalist look. With only a neutral palette and woody touches this home is absolutely alluring. Are we all minimalist at heart?

Interior Designer’s Thoughts

This home is a 4RM HDB resale flat. The challenge of this home is its awkward curved window. With a full-height black framed window(that cannot be removed) facing the entrance of the home, it becomes the main obstacle to achieve the dream interior which the homeowners’ desire. Thus, our interior designer thought using the tv console/feature wall as a partition between the bedroom and the living area(to keep the window out of sight). A customised bedhead is used to block half of the windows creating a cosy baywindow in the room.
